We spent our time in Science today learning how to format text boxes in Word so that students could get started on typing the sections of their project. They will be given their poster boards on Friday so that I can instruct them on how to fold the boards. They will be bringing them home Friday afternoon.
If they are still having trouble with their Research Paragraphs - please ask to see their "Scientific Method: The Parts of an Experiment Detailed" packet. It has all the information on what each section will contain, including ideas on what to research. (This packet can also be downloaded below!) An e-mail will be sent out with more specific ideas on what to research for each experiment if this is still an issue. We will continue to work on these projects next week - but again we may not always have computers available to us each day. Have a great weekend!

Below is an example of the final product of the Science Project. Students will be getting their poster boards on Thursday, and will spend their Science period working on the project. We will begin our science experiments that follow the Scientific Method this week! Students will work in groups conducting experiments in class, and will put the findings in a report displayed on a poster board. While the experiments will be conducted in groups, all students are responsible for their own research and poster boards. Information will be coming home on Monday about the project. The information that will be coming home can also be downloaded below. Students may want to bring their electronics to school this week to help them with the research portion of the project. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions! Have a great week! Mrs. Majewski
Students have the following days off of school: Monday, November 2nd and Tuesday, November 3rd.
Enjoy your long weekend! |
